i was on the highway and started smellin smoke and my motor hesitated, and poppe dthe hood to find the middle pulled completely bent of some so the belt was just danglin there!!!

when i turn the car on i dont hear any motor damage like a knock or anything....just want to know which pulley it is so i can try and replace itt

 

that pully there would be your idler pully. it keeps tension on your A/C belt

 

gotcha, just got a new one but it shudnt do any damage to the motor right?

 

not as long as you replace it.

 

do not tackel this your self i repeat do not do it... if you didnt know what pulley that was you have no business under the hood...

I beg to differ.. people have to learn somehow, heck thats how I learned. I didnt know what was what under a hood at first. But I dug in and figured it out and here I am.. It is always a wise idea to become familure with your motor before working on it in any situation tho

im not saying not tackel things because it is the best way to learn hands on has always been the same but if you dont know the motor do not mess with it you didnt know what the pulley whats on your car kinda weaksauce but bump on getting it fixed have you noticed any other problems...
