Just installed my s300.
My god do I love this unit. It does EVERYTHING I could want.
Only problem is trying to find a basemap, or any insight on the ridiculously stupid timing that my y8 needs. Of course I had to get the black sheep of the d series. Anybody with some insight on tuning the y8 please chime in.
Through some fudging around and searching I managed to get something for ignition that seems to run pretty damn well. Car runs WAY better than the stock p06 piece of crap I had to run on temporarily. Finally feels like a high 14 sec car.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.
Maybe faster. I know of a crx with IM and exh running 13.2 on slicks. No lie.
And yeah I read the article on HMT. However I never managed to find the one on pgmfi that they referred to. Nor a real solution to getting the timing right. I understand setting the timing to 12 deg at idle but then it would be rediculously high everywhere else. I know what the engien runs at idle and WOT, its the stuff in between thats got me in a fog.
