Ok whats the highest compression yuo would want to run on a nitrous motor down here that will pretty much always be run on 93

 

I wouldn't do more than 12.5:1 for pump gas . Detonation is not your friend in FL .

Your going to need to pull a significant amount of timing for it to not ping on nitrous as well .

 

I wouldn't run 12.5:1 unless you can get timing spot on. Maybe 11:1 or a tad more.

How big of a shot are you running and what's your set-up?

 

+1 you always taking care of all the questions... I have ran 12.5:1 LSvtec but never sprayed it. Although most people I raced swore I was on the bottle. Ran great till my brother missed 4th and dropped a valve.(no rev limit wit a damn ebay chip ) Takes me back 4+yrs ago. Just fillup on some real gas when you spay teh bitch.

 

With a good tune 12.5:1 is perfectly fine . Your going to as I said either need to pull ALOT of timing for nitrous or run a race gas cell for it .

 

Well ill prob be running a 50-75 shot with rods and itr pistons and prob a thick head gasket... B16 head most likely.. then prob step up to a hundred shot once i build the head id want a reg tune and a spray tune of course

 

Yeah i think i may run jdm itr pistons with a 2 layer gasket which should put me right about 12.5:1 thanks for the input fellas

 

why waste your money on rods and put stock pistons on them? stock rods with arp rods bolts will be more than enough for a setup like that. If your going rods, BUY SOME REAL PISTONS.

because im gonna build it anyway im only gonna run this setup until i pieces together a nice turbo setup and then switch out the the pistons for some forged low comp pistons
