Okay I devoted this morning to putting in a new PCV valve in my 97 civic ex. Problem was I couldnt find it! I checked a Haynes manual and my cars guide still no pcv valve found. I even jacked up the car and searched underneath with a flashlight. It should be near the center of the intake manifold right? But nothing just a long tube that goes down below near the oil filter and is attached to the bottom of the crank case with a clamp. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

it hasnt been changed or checked in 45000 miles and I know that it should be checked and/or replaced every 15000 miles.

bleh to each his own.
Its right under the intake manifold just trace the tube.
Before commiting though check to see if it opens and closes by listening to it with the car on.

Found it thanks it was exactly where you guys said it would be. I had to put the car up on ramps and use a few assorted tools to reach around the oil filter and cv axle and actually get at it but as suspected earlier it was the original pcv valve and was totally built up with carbon deposits to the point it was not working.
