Default 92 integra ECU made the fuel pump quit.

I got a 92 gsr with a p-61 ecu (ob1) and last week the fuel pump quit.
we played with new relay under L dash from a 89 crx si, which are the same, still not work, dropped tank put in new fuel pump, still not work,
checked wires under back seat, ran power in the .# 7 wire in the relay
wiring diagram tp pump and the pump ran like hell. But would still not
start.
Then put in a stock ls ecu ob1 from another 92 integra and all was fixed.

What went wrong in my gsr ecu?? Is it fixable like the relays where you just resolder the back of board and can see which one is bad, usually.
I talked to a tech at Honda 54/75 and he said it was not the ecu, but it is. I need another ob1 ecu for a gsr or fix mine.
Does a 95 gsr ob-1 ecu work good in a 92 gsr, it has a lower rpm where it kicks in, like 5400 rpm instead of 5900 like my p-61 92 gsr. or just lower my
92 ecu by chipping it. Glad to geting it running again farmerfloyd
Any help greatly appreciated.

yes it will work for you. the maps are a bit diff but it will still work. It sounds like your ECU was damaged. I had a customer come in with a ECU that has the IAT sensor mixed up with the PCS sensor and the ECU got so hot it damaged the traces that supplied the fuel pump relay with its power. After about 2hrs of tracing things out I was able to fix the ECU. I was still pretty burnt up but everything worked just fine again! Good Luck.

BTW might want to think about having the ECU chipped for later usage, this way its ready to be tuned ifyou need it, There are plenty of people up in your area that can do it for you.
