Exclamation motor swaps our way, show your way

well im bored and dont have to work today so i figured we should start a thread that shows everyone who does their own motor swaps at home.... AKA the backyard mechanics.......

well heres mine, we use a tree some chain and a pully system with rope....
we dont have fancy tools but we get it done lol






4 swaps so far so good, havent had any major problems lol

I wish I had some pictures of the motor pull I did on my 91 toyota truck I had a few years back! Luckily is was the 22r, not the v6!! I actually made a square frame engine hoist out of three 4x4s framed up to make a huge ass square. I then gave it some forward and backward protruding legs and four caster wheels near the leg's edges. I used a boat style ratchet strap as my lifting mechanism, and it worked very well by the way!! That shit was redneck as hell if I had ever seen redneck but it too got the job done!! But um, how about I show you some pictures of my recent motor transportation job, with a civic!! And here they are...



And yes, I was loving it!! You can barely see my buddy Raymond's civic in the first picture but his 97ex was pulling it!!

i dont have any pics but me and a 200 lb guy did one from the bottom with know kind of lift diviece except jacks lol i will never do that agian
