To start off i have a crx with b16. everything was great til i put my s2000 cluster in. Everything works fine its just that I only have vtec in 1st and 2nd, and wont pop it in 3, 4, or 5. Just the other night i got a code 17, which is vss, but it shows the speed just fine. And sometimes when i take off in 1st, it hits a rev limiter at like 4k? its really weird. And if i floor it in 2nd, it feels like power just dies off around 6.5-7k.

Any ideas?

Also what is a b16's stock fuel pressure? i have it set at 32psi.

 

woa....vss wont let u go into vtec for 1. but the rev limit at 4k? do u have a 2 step set at 4k? if so when the speedo reads 0 then u wont be able to rev past 4k. but if ur reading speed just fine then there must be a bad connection between the vss wire and the ecu or something like that. this is odd.....can i see pix of the s2k cluster in the rex tho? lol

 

its not like a rev limit exactly, maybe like a fuel cut or something and its when driving not sitting still. and only happens every now and then in 1st or 2nd when going WOT.

Ill put pics up when i re-do my carbon fiber surround. right now it looks horrible.

Anyways i guess ill check my connection for vss at wire b16 at the ecu. but what would be the reason for power dropping off at like 6.5k?
