Default CEL on OBD0 to OBD1 convert

okay well I have obd0 honda crx with a JDM B16A1 motor.
My ECU is a USDM chipped P28.

Well my question is how do i check a code with this set up?

I have a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness.
Everything seems to be wired correct
The car runs and drives good
It has hit the crossover vtec point once since i've had the swap done

The motor doesn't like to idle cold it like to just shut off.

I'm just wondering how or where I would check the code on this car thanks for any help i can ger

the jumper harness should have 2 wires that you connect together and it will make the CEL itself flash the code just like an OBD-1 normally would. on my jumper the wires happen to be yellow, and a black wire, but yours may be different.

hope that helps you out. but im not very good with wiring so i cant help you much more than that.

dude wow thats the best thing i've heard all day.
I ended up taking the harness out today and just going thru it again looking to see if something was wrong but havent found anything yet

could you take a picture or something to show where the location of those 2 wires are @?

that would be a great help
thanks again
