check this out, intakes, pistons, valves, and rod don't like water and cold air intake and florida don't make a good couple either, it usually ends up in a nasty divorce....im just messing with you lol....you are going to have to rebuild the motor if the sleeves are ok in there. i can come take it apart and rebuild it or put a new motor in it if you need to...pm me....

Happened to me in my Daewoo during that freak rainstorm in February '06. Pulled the plugs, cranked the motor, sprayed WD-40 in the cylinders, put the plugs back, fired right up. Still running to this day, no compression or valve issues. Thank God for incredibly high Korean engine tolerances.

Generally the drop in air pressure will stall the engine out before MAJOR damage can happen. You WILL get some water in the cylinders, but it isn't fatal.

The fact that you started it without trying to dry the motor is your problem. The fact that it knocks already makes me wonder what kind of help you're hoping for...

You need a rebuild.
