Default Treadstone turbo kit?

Anyone ever run this setup? It uses a Turbonetics turbo and wastegate. Other parts look pretty decent. Let me know cause im seriously considering going turbo rather than an n/a build. If these arent very good, i may just piece a kit together. Thanks

Honda Civic SI, B, D, CRX Series Turbo Kit - TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE

edit: i would also upgrade to the 3" dp option and the greddy rs bov

I have seen the kits work just fine on customers cars.
I have also seen customers end up having bad luck with their turbonetics turbos out of the box.

I would personally piece a kit together runing a tial wastegate, blow off valve, precision intercooler & turbo. For a manifold anything which is free flowing would be ideal such as a equal length manifold. If your looking to stay on a budget w/ a/c a cast manifold such as the inline pro would be ideal.

well its a b16 in a crx. its gutted, so no a/c. i was thinking about getting the spoolin performance stainless log mani, 3" dp, and dump package. that would only cost like 635. then i need to find a decently priced turbo, but i dont know what would be best. Its a stock internal b16 right now, but could throw in a block guard and arp headstuds if needed. what turbo do you recommend for the 250-275 whp range on stock motor?

I would recommend something that flows a little better such as a shorty style manifold.

Concerning a block guard & headstuds. There is no need for those components for your setup.

A standard 57 trim .63 ar housing turbo would work fine for that setup.

Considering you are removing the a/c I would recommend something along with lines of a ram horn or love fab shorty style manifold.

Psi is going to depend on manifold/exhaust design along with turbo size, intercooler size & design etc.

Spool time also will vary depending on all of these factors.

the spoolin "prototype" manifold is a very nice peice. And it isnt to big so you might not have many space problems

That wont work with the stock radiator though. this came from the prototype manifold page: '88-91 Civic/CRX Application Notes: Must use 1/2 sized radiator.
