All depends on the muffler and resonator/s. Resonators take the high pitched rasp out in most cases. I ran a test pipe and needed 2 in my tanabe setup. But it was quite deep and had no rasp.

i have headers, no cat, straight stock piping with stock res. and a high flow turbo muffler (i know my car isnt turbo) and an air intake, and well i dont like the raspy-ness of my car... but i do drive a D16y7, listen to it for your self.

cut me some slack, i know my car is slow lol, the camera is in my boys ls, with intake, and a muffler.

it's hard to get a Honda to sound good. When I had a Honda I changed my exhaust many times to get it to sound good, I ended up with a high flow cat, a factory resonator from a 2g turbo eclipse, and a magnaflow muffler in the rear, then it sounded decent.
Now I don't have to worry about it so I run this:

But I would definitely use a secondary muffler in place of the cat If i were you, kinda like the single magnaflow I am using, they don't cause ANY restriction and will get the Honda sound out
