I have a 97 civic lx, and I plan on keeping my civic for as long as i can, but i want to swap the motor, or maybe rebuild it, but everyone says that a D16y7 isnt worth rebuilding. So I was thinking another motor, maybe a D16y8, or what i prefer a LS.

I don't know where to even begin, but I dont want to do the swap, what shops do swaps? And I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SPEED OR PERFORMANCE! I want a nice fresh motor with A/C. Someone help please, or advice, please.

And again I'm not looking for speed, etc etc, just a new reliable motor with simple bolt ons.

i loved my stock ls motor in my eg hatch... quickness when you need it and ridiculous miles per gallon gas millage. i got 35 mpg with ac and what not in it...

or you can use a B20 cheap for a Jdm motor with 40-50,000 miles....

 

things is my mechanic skills only go so far, i cant swap another motor into my car, i'd pay a shop to do it, need prices.
