My boy has a K20 that he's willing to sell to me for $1,000. Should I buy the K20 or keep the D15Z1 VETC that I have already in the civic but change all the pistons, valves, bearings and all that good stuff, only to put the turbo in?

What should i do?

 

Well the K20 can get some very impressive numbers especially with the low weight of the civic but..... you have alot of stuff you have to convert and invest in like; motor mounts, wiring harness, axles, etc. Ultimately it's up to you.

 

if he is going to sell it to you for a grand buy that you wont be disappointed

 

unless its stolen ... make sure its legit man cops are cracking down and checking engines now.. i know cus i just got check when i i got pulled for speeding so becareful cus they will take your whip

Reguardless, i'd get the k20. Even if you don't decide to use it... you can resell it and atleast make some profit.

i see no point in investing into the z1 anyway. if you stay single cam get a z6 the k20 obviously has more potential comes down to money

 

id do the K20 but the swap parts are mad money....

I have a friend doing one in a 93 civic hatch... hes got about 2k in just parts...

 

id say the k20 def not for the budget racer
