Talking How to: Seized rotor removal

Well I was doing my rear disc conversion, and two of the rotor set screws were seized. We tried heating them up to free them after soaking them in WD-40 and various other solutions. The problem was, it was 11pm on a sunday, and we didn't have a torch. We did, however, have a zippo and a can of axe

Needless to say, I ended up getting a drill and just drilled the damn little things out.

The results:

Goodridge brake lines as well:

Is that a can of axe body spray if so ,just so your safe next time that wont get hot enough and could blow up and the way to get out those screws is to use an impact driver and im not talking about an air powerd toll it is a spring loaded steel cylinden that holds a phillips bit and you hit it with a hammer and when doing so the impact from the hammer drives and turns the bit hense pulling out the screw hope this helps next time.

No we tried all forms of impact drivers except a pneumatic one, nothing but the drill bit got the screws to move at all, they were one with the rotor. And I don't think the axe can would have gotten hot enough to explode, being that they explode around 120 degrees, and my hand gets uncomfortable slightly before it reaches 120 degrees. We were just bored and wanted to have some fun

Well it wouldn't do anything. You need oxygen to burn, and there is no oxygen inside the can. Thats why flamethrowers won't explode on their own, the fire can't work back into the can.
