gotta few bugs i need worked out on my 88 dx crx.
my fuel gauge, brake lights, reverse lights and tach are not working. maybe sumone can direct me down the yellow brick road...

ive put new bulbs, and replaced the brake light switch (used). i put a test light on the 3 wires of the brake light switch and they were dead. is it possible i got another dead brake light switch ?

i think there is a harness off the gsr hydro tranny that is not plugged in. is that y the reverse lights are not working ? how can that b fixed ?

is there a sensor for the fuel tank. is it a fuel sending unit ???

where do i begin on the tach ???

Yes the harness on the tranny is for reverse and there is a fuse under the hood that mite be blown for the cluster or the one under the dash hope this helps .

Josh did you guys depin the dizzy connector or anything?? Theres a blue wire coming from it that sends the signal for the tach. When I put an obd2 dizzy on my car the blue wire wasn't pinned correctly and caused no tach signal.

 

the harness was made for the app. i traded powder coating for the harness and was told it was for my set up.
nuthing shuda been touched up there near the dizzy.
not sure wut depin is ?!?! LOL miss type i assume... lmk slick

the reverse light switch is two wires...yellow and blue i believe. you could allways take the switch out of the tranny and hit it manually to test it.

check your tach wire from the dizzy with an meter or test light see if it works there if it does continue to check then the harness plug then behind the cluster.

and yes there is a fuel sending unit in the tank...you access it from under the rear storage compartment..

by chance do you think you cluster might be bad?

also check your fuse box...the whole thing could be bad....

it happened to a customers car of mine once.

ive seen the under hood fuse box go and create multiple problems, and there is a box of some sort behind the under dash fuse box that has been known to cause problems. check the search on honda-tech.com, and i have a parts crx if you need to do some trial and error.

also, I took some pics of the powder coating you did for me. looks fucking awesome. i havent been able to get them online, but if you have a phone that gets pics, i can get them to you anytime. just lmk man ill help you out.
