So, i leave work. i rev high twice spinning the tires (with cold motor) cuz i was pissed from work and then rode normal all the way to the vito's and michaels'. stopped, got pizza. then i get back in the car and the car won't start! i notice the engine light, which usually stays on for a sec and turns off, this time, stays on. I try 3 times to start and nothing... it turns but doesn't start... So i get real pissed!

I push the car so that it's not in the way of the parked cars and then start the car again and boom! works just fine! I decide to not take any chances and go home directly.

get home, turn the car off. start it again, no problem. the engine light goes on for a second and turns off, as usual.



wtf happened? does anyone have a clue as to what could have made the car not start and engine light stay on until i moved it back?

might of dumped to much fuel and it couldent turn over. Kind of like a mini hydro lock

bump on what he said... or you could have somehow jumped timing just enough for it not to start the first few times check your belts and all the my car just did the same thing last week on a fresh build when revving on a cold motor and jumped timing and fried the rings...

i dont think it would jump timing from going thru the rpm's... check if everythings in their right location and no CEL right?

Hey... As long as you havent reset the ecu (unplugging the battery or fuse) you can still jump the ecu to find out what it was!

+1 and there are reasons vtec wont engage when cold... from the factory
