1st question i did a z6 swap to my sedan and i dont have vtec hooked up... for now... is that going to hurt anything in the long run?

also my second question.. the engine has a tick to it... but i notice when the car is not running hot yet it feels like it wants to stall but it doesnt. sometime the rpms sound like they are running high then low. i cant see for myself because i dont have a tach. also when im in gear it feels like the engine is getting resticted and i have to give it more gas for it to get out of the restriction. but idk you think i need to adjust the dizzy?

please help me out i dont want to mess up my engine. i just wasted money it seems like.

also what is a good compression for a d16z6 because im thinking about doing a compression test.

 

no the vtec not hooked up will not harm your car you will just be wasting a lil more gas

as for the ticking check your timing and do a valves adjustment. also do a leak down test make sure the valves arent bent or seals are bad... just a few ideas g/l
