Default s2k "honda" oil filter on d series bump oil pressure?

i had read that putting a true honda s2k oil filter on a d-series will bump oil pressure up around 10psi. this is supposedly due to it being larger which helps reduce oil psi drag opposed to the smaller filters which create psi lose. has anyone heard of this? ive got a y8 which i guess you can say has the imfamous rod bearing failure due to weak oil pumps. any thoughts on this?
