Question Anyone have a junk B-Vtec head layin around???

OK. Heres the thing. I am looking for anyone with a junked b series vtec head laying around, or even just b series vtec head parts. here is why...

As I posted a couple months ago, my head was found to be missing a synchronizer pin, as seen in this picture...
well with the exception of buying a whole new rocker arm set, finding this little pin has proven to be a BITCH. So. I was hoping someone might have a random junked head or something laying around, as this is the last part I need to complete assembly of my motor.

Thanks in advance

Default pin

have you gone to the honda dealership? i am pretty sure you can get one
from the parts department, and i would not expect to pay more than 10
bucks for one.

shit no fucking way...I think I'm missing one to. I found an odd looking pin and couldn't figure out where the hell it goes. can you post up a pic of the pin itself? I just went out in the garage couldn't find the pin. Can the rocker arm assm. stay together with out it cause I've ran my car plenty without this pin.

I was told I couldnt get just the pin, I would have to buy the whole rocker arm assy. for like 120-130 bucks. Pretty shitty considering the head is practically brand new from Acura...

I dont have a pic of the pin itself but im sure i can get one. the car can still run without it, only thing is you will have no vtec. the syncronizer pins are what lock the regular rockers to the vtec rocker causing vtec to engage. They are all the same diameter, just different widths depending wether it is the regular rocker or vtec rocker (vtec arm is wider). basically the oil pressure in vtec just pushes them over causing all the rockers to become one...

the only one that seems to be missing is the one in the picture from the vtec rocker on the cyl.1 intake side. But if anyone has some extras they wanna donate I wouldnt mind a couple spares lol... As long as I get one to get this head back together and get my engine assembled, I will be a happy camper

thanks for the info...I doubt my mystery part is the pin in question cause it'll still engage vtec.

im not sure if it would still engage with a pin missing, it may just not engage that one cyl. for example, in my case, all of the other rockers may lock into vtec, except that cyl1 intake side... but like i said im not 100% sure how it would work. I would assume it would cause some sort of drop in oil psi which may prevent vtec from engaging all together... who knows...
