i swapped a d16y7 brand new swap in my boys civic and we put a d16z6 manifold and throttle body everything is hooked up but i dnt knw how to eliminate the knock sensor on the block..? what ecu do i use for the swap i got a po3? but i dont knw what else to do im selling the car for 3k cash on the forums and its well wrth it just trying to get my money back. thanks.

What is the EXACT model number of the ecu you are trying to use ?

 

hey man its a 93 civic posted on the forums my boy did the swap and used a P03 but someone said something abouthte knock sensor..? being eliminated and the motor and trans have 55k on it. i dont know im not a mechanic but it cranks the timing is on just wont start ..??

im gonna try the p28 and see if that will work..?

 

It sounds like the vehicle has various issues.
I have never seen or heard of a p03 ecu. Are you sure it isn't a p30 ecu ?

 

type o my bad im using a p28 sorry and i wired my own fuel injector clips to the harness and built the harness from scratch i also took the guts out of the old dizzy and put them in another one, i did some work but its not that bad. just figured out that the p28 eliminates the knock sensor so idk but its a fresh swap prolly something stupid..?

 

maybe its something else./>>>?? just trying to sell the car for 3k its worth every pennie its posted on the forums check it out...
