Gettin a loan.. what should I spend the money on?

Default Gettin a loan.. what should I spend the money on?
Ok so Im gettin a private loan thru my school, but its going towards living expenses, which means I can basically spend it on whatever. I currently have a 93 civic hatch that, with some money, could look very nice. Thing is I want a teg.. real bad. The loan is for 8000, but Im only gonna have between 4000 amd 4500 to spend on the car.

Which would be smarter: Sell the hatch, then use all of the money to buy the teg (94+), or should I keep the hatch and use the money from the loan to fix that bad boy up? If you think I should keep the hatch, then what do you think I should do with it first? Thanx guys I need a second opinion. XD

to start with,what shape is the hatch in? is it a nice roller needing only paint/rims or a money pit that needs all kinds of work to be presentable?if its the 2nd id drop it and spend what you can on another car.

Don't invest the money in a car....unless it is needed for daily transpo. Finish school.
