+1 i bought one of those, and realized they suck, sold them to buy something better that works.

Default So nobody

Has anybody ever seen a picture or anything at all of these things being used on an integral/civic i need to know if the design is safe an usable. So are they capable? maybe not the aluminum but like steel is that spot strong enough you see i got 2 projects really i want to make a usable tow hook and also make a hitch type mount for a bike rack.

what kind of design are you using, i mean the benens are designed to be used, most people know what they look like. What are you planning, im sure someone here can tell you if it might work

im sure it can, they seem pretty solid when bolted down, i have heard of people using them, just no pictures. To tow a car a couple hundred feet, sure why not. They also seem to be able to support some weight, I would stand on mine from time to time, hah. Lol i weigh like 135ish

Well i figure that if it can tow a car 2000+ pounds on that aluminum plate a(witch ill be making pretty soon in class ) i figure i could make it support a structure of less than 150 pounds. Now i got to find somebody close to me to measure the bolt patter before spring break. The thing was that after basing my hole design on it i came to realize i had never seen one use or a picture of one being used.

well, you have to remember, getting towed and getting yanked out of the gravel pit are 2 totally different things, what are you looking to do?
