Default Timing Belt

Im lookin to get my timing belt swapped out. Do I need to change my water pump too? I know its suggested but what the pros/cons of doing it or not? I got 65,xxx miles on her now. anyone interested in makin a few bucks? If so, how much? B18C5...I believe the timing belt has never been changed before. If no one wants to do it-recommend any good shops around tampa area that'll do it cheap?

There are enough people on here that I would say could do it for you AIm MyLifeAsAWhopper he could help you out. If you have the timing belt off I would say do the water pump otherwise you get to do the whole procedure again. Which is not fun.

You dont "have" to change the water pump but, its easy to get at (when the belts already off) and I would call it "preventive maintenance!"

If its only got 65k miles. I wouldnt change it unless any fluid is seeping from base or shaft seal. I'll change it at my house for $100.

change it for preventative maint and to avoid doing the labor twice, from what i remember the water pump wasnt expensive. your car will appreciate the new fluids and parts.
