Default Broken Valve *PICS*

***UPDATED___PICS***
What would cause an after-market stainless steel valve to shear off perfectly on the stem in a B18B engine at roughly 1300-1500 RPM?
Timing was still good before the motor was dissembled.

Ferrea Valves
Omni Spring and Retainers
'01 ITR Cams

I am thinking defective material.

Pics of valve will be up tomorrow.
Head is/was a ITR w/ P/P

Ferrea Valves
Omni springs and retainers
'01 ITR cams

Car was running for approximately 9 months till the incident.

Timing was still good before dissembling.

Thats hardened valves for you, they break not bend as oem materials will mostly do. if the valves break they dance around in your motor and do damage to the head, piston and sometimes cylinder walls. when they bend the just make a impression in the piston and do no dancing. so with bending and no breaking there is less damage.

I have seen oem valves do the same thing.
It is just shitty luck.
