NOT a good day for me... I Changed the fluid and stipped the case. Is there a repair kit? What do i need to do now? replace 1/2 the case? That is NOT my big problem.. I filled it with 3.3 Qts and put the bolt back on with liquid gasget. and it seams to be holding fine.. I then went to move the truck for a test drive it now doesn't move.. HELP

I didn't get the exact measurement of how much came out when I drained it. I have put 4qt in it and it's not going into gear? Forget the bolt issue for a moment. It's not leaking...

IF the fluid is low (1/2 to 1 qt) would that cause it to got go in to gear?

 

what is the tranny for? i know a honda tranny will go into gear with no fluid at all, so i dont think its the amount of fluid causing the problem. but then again you said "move the truck" so im assuming maybe its not a honda tranny your refering to....more info on the vehicle may help.

Sorry, It's a 2006 Honda Pilot. Reverse is the only gear that HARDLY works.. I was able to get it out of the driveway. It's now parked in front of the house.. That was as far as I was able to move it.

thats why when you get a new truck like that, the dealer should be the only one to fuck with it.

 

its automatic i assume. you need more than 3.3 quarts if you emptied the tranny completely. also do not use plain old dextron III. you should use honda atf or add friction modifier to dextron III. g/l

 

Issue was resolved.. I am an ID10T that is all i will admit too..!
