My ac compressor is dead since Ive got it Ive had trouble and since the impending sumemr is coming up...I want it fixed. But I cna scrape together 500+ for one new and I was quote:8a1291263cd like 150 for one form a Junkyard. Its not guaranteed to wrk for long or ever but if ti does itll be better than what Im working with. Question is this: IS this a job I cna do myself or is it a shop only deal because of the fluids involved?

air compressors arent the expensive. go to an autoparts store (discount napa autozone) and it is something that you can do. Just buy a manuel and that will walk you through it...
