b18b vs b16a

i found my ls to be way more usable day to day than the '99 si i used to drive(it was an ex-gf's car). with the si, you would have to wring the snot of it to get any sort of speed.
when my ls was stock, there was power pretty much any time i wanted it. it would fall on its face over 7k, but by then i was usually winning or i was up to a good speed.

do lsvtec they are not as much as people think to do right trust me most just over spend for shit not needed but if you want a nice bottom with a nice pull when you hit the gas go with lsVtec

i have had both of them, i have a 90 civic hatch with a b16 in it right now. the b18 was nice but i believe the b16 is quicker cause it has more top end for sure. if you could do a b18 bottom end with a b16 head. best of both worlds.

a friend had a ls in a ef hatch and a b16 also in a ef hatch. on a roll the ls will get the jump but when vtec kicks in its all over. vtec FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

also depends on your long run goals... are you going to end up boosting or stay NA? hp goals? i will shortly have a fully built ls vtec and have aprox 4500 k into it but i will be very satisfied. i had a b16 before and theres not enough tourque to get you off!

....had an ls in a del sol that beat b16 hatches all day. it all depends on a ton of stuff...lol im still an ls faithful tho.

damn 4500 i hope that makes for a nice 10sec car,but as you can read from everypost Lsvtec is the way to go

yeah i can only hope so. with all that money includes parts, shipping, boring, honing, decking, tear down, install and turbo parts.... the whole nine yards. but id rather spend that much to build a fully built motor rather than spending that on a POS type R motor... it doesnt matter wat the stamp is on the side as long as you build it right!

wow...i dont know if u just got the hook up or what..but u think 4500 can get u a 10 sec car? ...is this a reliable 10sec street car??..if so..ill bring u 4500..and expect a 10sec car in return..deal?
