Default can someone explain this to me please?

what does it mean when a jdm ecu doesn't detect knock or VTEC pressure.. knock sensor im not too concerned.. im just thrown off by the (doesnt detect vtec pressure) doesnt it have to sense the pressure to know when to kick in n off... or too hook up a apexi controller.
sorry for the newbie questions.. i just feel better to ask and know then to assume

if its a JDM ecu it doesnt need to look for it...it never really does NEED to look for it. its only a safty switch for dumb asses that would go WOT at high rpms with no oil. i guess no one does that in japan.

If you need the input from the vtec pressure switch on a setup that does not have one, you can tee into the vtec solenoid wire.
