when doing a LS/vtec or B20vtec does it matter which Vtec oil pump will work? i see alot of people using the ITR oil pump but will a b16/b18c1 pump work the same? i didnt know if all vtec oil punp have the same pressure. Also f anyone knows what the oil pressure is for Vtec motors Vs. Non-Vtec are that would help also.

 

all obd2 Vtec oil pumps are the same from typeR to gsr to b16 to Ls......as for 90-95 the gsr and some b16 are 80mm meaninf gear size so they will produce more Psi.as for ls it is 84mm and spins somewhat slower producing less psi.....all you need is a Obd2 96+ i just tell them i need one for a 00si b16a2 makes it easier..and if your useing a Obd2 you will need the sensor other wise not need for obd1 and preObd
