00 Si Pedal Problem any info?
Hey,
Quick question i have a 00 Si car runs great all is good. I am having a problem with the gas pedal. It sometimes gets stuck and i have to push it down hard to release it and its fine for a little bit. I havent really messed with it but i did check the springs and made sure nothing is interfering with it. The spring is greased up so basically if anyone has an idea? I was thinking maybe just replacing the cable? The cable in the engine bay is fine and its too tight or binding or anything. Thanx for any info peace

Undo the cable at the end in the engine bay, see if the cable slides freely.
Check also to see if the cable lines up straight in the engine bay,
or if there is some binding due to a bent bracket.

Take off your intake and spray carb cleaner around the t/b butterfly then wipe it up and start the car, next hold the throttle body open a little bit and start spraying carb cleaner into it not too much because the car will bog and turn off.
