Default Which Turbo is Best?

Okay so like the title says I am in the market for a turbo (tax return season). So which would be the best brand name / best turbo to get? Preferably AC friendly and something that's in the range of 8 -10 pounds for my daily B18B1 L/S integra EG honda civic.

I've tried to trade and sell and no one wants to offer anything decent enough, so I think I'm gonna take a couple of my friends' advise and go turbo.

Paste website or just let me know.

Thanks Tampa Racing! And have a great day / life (in case I don't talk to you often).

A precision SC50 or SC34 would be good choices. They come with a 5 bolt turbine housing which is compatible with most a/c friendly turbo manifolds on the market. Both turbos work well at lower boost but can still make 400whp if pushed. My sc34 makes a little over 300whp at 10-11 lbs on my 1.8 vtec.

Here is a link to my build thread and you can see pics of the manifold, sc34 turbo, and what is needed to keep A/C. https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/h...ar-myslef.html

We're selling a friend's used SC44 for a fair price. Nothing is wrong with it. Burns no oil. No shaft play. Has less than 5000 miles on it. Made 417whp. Recently the car ran 11.1 @ 129. It has been off the car for a week now

It really isnt big but I read you're non-vtec so an SC50 or SC34 would fit your application better

Yeah I just want something that will get me some torque off the line and maybe run low 13s high 12's. I don't race my daily. But yeah I will keep it non-vtec too I think. Just rebuild.

Precision SC50. It is a garret 50 trim t3/t04e with precision housings and a 360 degree thrust bearing. They come standard with a 5 bolt turbing housing which is what you want for doing an a/c friendly setup. The standard Garrets usually come with a 4 bolt housing which positions the turbo too far inward towards the block to be used with most a/c turbo manifolds.

I'd think you'd want the .63 /r turbine housing but maybe for your goals and cylinder head a .48 a/r housing might work well.

Alpha, what do you think about using a .48 housing on a ls motor?
