rough idle problems
i have a 90 crx b16a-Turbo
when my car is cold started it idles rough for a while and the throttle response is sluggish and sometimes wants to shut off completely. if i floor it while cold it will fall on its face with power and bog severely. could this be a coolant temp sensor prob?

Why would you beat on it if its not warmed up yet?
Could be the coolant temp sensor, could be the IACV, could be many things.
My advise would be wait till its completly warm before you beat on it. Just wait till its warmed up first. Wake up 2 mins earlier and start the car up.

^I was gonna recomend that too...my gauge was busted so I put a pressure gauge to get a quick reading and I was running 28psi and bumped it up to 48 and it starts ALOT better. A quick test someone told me to try once was to take off your intake piping and plug the holes inside the throttle body one at a time...if it idles right when you plug up the top one I believe it's the IACV if the bottom hole corrects the idle then it's the fast idle control sol??<----forget what it's called exactly but its the sensor under the throttlebody...

Don't take life so serious. It's not like were getting out of it alive anyway.

If it was a coolant temp sensor problem, i think it would happen all the time. If the sensor is bad, it wouldnt function like that only when it was cold. I think..

doesnt mater if i try to beat on it when its cold.... i start the car a few mins b4 i leave, dont think im a complete dumbass, but my car stays cold for a very long time, although everything is functional, even in the hott summer days. i have to floor it just to go, no hard acceleration. now it is picking and choosing when it wants to do it. once i shift thru 1st and 2nd and shift to 3rd the hesitation usually dissapates.
