i am looking for some new tires for my rex that will give me the best traction. right now i just roast my tires all the way through fourth gear, every time i try and get on it. any suggestions? lmk. thanks.

well what kinda rims do you have??? what is the tire size of the tires currently on your car???

 

id have to go out and look at the tire size, but i have motegi 17's on it. i dont wanna put slicks on it, but anything else that will give me the best traction.

 

well some dunlops or nittos would be pretty good

Check the tire pressure in your current tires. Over inflation will cause massive whees spin. No traction through 4th gear with 17's?? WTF you gotta hemi in that thing?? Like others have already suggested...Nitto 555r's ftw! I had Dunlop GT qualifiers on mine and they were pretty nice. Just gitcha a nice set of drag radials...

 

have u thought of suspension also, u shouldnt be "roasting" the tires 4th gear. my car held 550 2nd gear 600whp 3rd gear and 700whp 4th gear on the street. Depending on power level and trans, id look into alteast a 225 50 15 BFG the 235 60 15 and 255 50 16 both work really well.
