valve lash
i just traded my mustang for a eg h/b and it has a jdm b16a in it and it has some valve chatter and i was wondering what the valve lash is on these motors and if there is some special tool u need to do it or just a set of feeler gauges lmk
You need a feeler guage, But i wouldnt recomend you doing it yourself. Any local shop could do it for 50-75$.
It's easy as shit to do yourself if you know what your doing ...
I usually have a 10mm Valvelash tool , you can buy it from a tool truck just make sure th car is completely cold and Intake valves are 7 exhaust are 9

If you try to do it without the valve lash tool then you have to keep rechecking it as you tighten the locknut, pain in the ass. Buy the tool or make one. I welded a 10mm deep socket to a 11mm deep socket and then welded a long bolt to the side so you can apply torque. A long screwdriver fits through the middle so you can hold your setting in place while you tighten the locknut.
