Default Looking to build a civic!!! Help!

Ok, I'm looking to build a civic. i wanna do a 5th gen hatch or a 6th gen hatch or coupe....i have 3 engines that i can get really easily...for pretty cheap...a b16, a b18, or an ls vtec....im looking to get 300 or so HP out of it supercharged...i dont wanna spend an ish load of cash seeing as this will be my 2nd car and not my DD....i figure its best to buy the motor and build it on a stand then drop it in a shell since its easier to find a shell...i was wondering what you all thought of this...tips?? pointer?? what engine i should choose?? just some simple advice...it will be an autocross car as well if that helps at all..feel free to imput any advice

Thanks,
Rob

you really need nowhere near 300 hp for auto cross, plus with a supercharger setup on any of these combos would make it rather nose heavy. I would go for a high compression b16. It will be light, dependable, cheap and easy to work on, and as long as the compression still works with pump gas, youll have a car you dont have to put much money in.
A b16 with a gsr tranny aand type r casing, high comp. pistons, a ported head, maybe a sleeved block, upgraded internals, and you should be good to go with a decent weight distribution...

250 whp in a gutted hatch with the correct suspension setup would make for some really carved out corners.

wait have you ever autoX before? you dont just build a car and go do it. You practice with a bone stoker, then start stiffing the chassis and lighting the load. You pretty much build a feel for your car. Madybe lastly id throw on a few parts. But if you slap on a supercharger (honda=bad idea) your going to be placed in a way higher class when it comes to racing.
