Timing Help

Default Timing Help

ok so i got ma car started a week ago but timing was off so i set timing but ran into troubles with my valve cover. so today i got all the parts i needed and turned it on again but still my car sounds like shit i got a video here it is...i set the cams arrows to face the top and still it sounds like this. im guessing the cams are off or something or it cud be something else. sumone help!!!!!

Did you also set the bottom end to tdc.... your crank pulley should be line up with the line on your block!!!!!! Call me if you need more info!!!!! My name is Javier ( 1320 Engine Dynamics)... 813-785-8881....

oh man that sounds horrible. the only thing i could think of yould be either your distributor timeing or your crank timing.

yeh i had piston 1 at TDC and i still dont know whats wrong with it. ill prob call friday cuz i have to go to school all this week in orlando.

Yeah just call me !!!!! Did you put the motor together or was it already assembled??? Did u ever see it run??? Did you adjust your valves correctly!!!!! Were does it idle at after starting!!!!! I'd have to be there to actually diagnose the problem!!!!! Javier (1320 Engine Dynamics)

sounds normal to me with no exhust but cant tell much on a cameraphone...try starting it and unpluging the idelair controll valve in the back tell me what happens

it was already assembled and my homeboy saw it run. the motor was out of a running car...as far as the idle im not sure as i took the valve cover off and didnt put it back on yet. ill probably call u saturday or something im goin out of state for a month so im trying to get it figured out ASAP,,,,on a sidenote does ur shop do swaps?
