Default Help, Funny noise(sounds like compression)!!!

ok.. this is kind of the same thing as my last post. but im still having a problem with the idle and the engine actually shut off on me as i pulled into a gas station. so i really need help.(D15B7) the idle will not stay above 300 while im in neutral and it goes even lower. its making a bogging noise. if u say the name BOE over and over , thats wat the noise sounds like. ( boe, boe, boe, boe, boe, boe.. hahahaha. like that.. im told i might need a new gasket and the head resurfaced. anyone have any ideas?

its possiable. I would check cam timing and also check compression maybe even do a leak down test. Also maybe even fuel pressure.

check ur timing belt, could be lose or going to fail, that could be a real problem, take ur valve cover and check like other belt, to do a compresion test u need an air compresor and a compresion test gauge........my 2 cents, also scan ur computer always help to read what the sensor say

my h22a had the same problem.idid a compresion test and it revealed that i had low compresion.as in the compesion gage would only read up to 75 psi per cylinder.it ran like that for three years always dieing before i removed the head and replaced all of my bent exhaust valves.to check compresion just insert the gage into the spark plug holes, then disconect the ignition coil and crank the engine until the gage goes as far as it will go.usually hold the starter for 3-5 seconds.
