thats good, went a sensor go bad normally the computer detect the problem and show a code, sometimes not necesary means that the problem its the sensor inself but its a good star, but in ur case i would check first for a vaccum leak, any hose broke or crack then spray some carb cleaned around the gasket for the throtte body and the many and many and head.....then check o2 w/voltmeter its ok, then iacv, then timming belt and timming setup, then valve adjustment

You really should check very thoroughly for a vacuum leak before anything else. I cant tell you how many times have been so pissed off at not being able to figure out why a car's idle is messed up and it has been because of vacuum leak.

Let it idle and spray around the engine bay, see if it revs up.

Clean out the idle air control valve, check throttle position sensor voltage also. Carbon build up in the IACV will keep the plunger from moving, if it's vacuum controlled check the hoses and check valve for leaks, if it's electric, you can turn the car on to run, (not running) with the IACV un-mounted, open the throttle blade a few times and see if the plunger actuates, if not replace it. I think you're on the right track.

I had the same exact problem with my gsr.

Swapped the ecu at my friends house for a virgin p28 while trying to figure out a different issue and the idle thing went away.

Is it stock ecu?Mine had some bullshit skunk2 chip and im guessing that caused it.

Problem: Once the car is warmed up, the idle should be around 800-900 or so, but it has the problem (which i think is the IACV?) where if you turn the wheel or turn the steering wheel, it jumps down to around 400-500 then back up. The big problem is once sitting there, the rev's drop down to sometimes as low as 100-200 (i don't know how it doesn't stall), then the oil pressure light comes on, the rev's go back up, and repeats usually the next time i stop (at a red light or stop sign). Does anyone know what this problem is? I know i need a new oil pan gasket and will get one, but I don't think thats the problem. I've been told everything from the IACV to a vacuum leak (which I don't know how to check). Thanks in advance for any help, and ill rep when i can (i almost instantly go on 24 hour ban )
