Default wiring a switch for a radar detector

Use a vacant fuse under the dash, use a double pole-double throw switch. One side is hot, other side is ground.

Take power from the fuse to the detector hot wire.
Take ground from a good ground to the detector ground wire.

Hide the switch, hide all wiring. Hide the detector,
even if you have to make a bracket.-Bob
