ive seen some of those cigeratte lighters over time I guess age, the terminals get loose probably from vibration and probably just falls out. If that is the case then just bend the terminals and fit it snuggly back on the connector. If this is even what it is. Or just the contacts are damaged in the cigerate lighter themselfves.
