so i've got an 88 crx with a b18 block and a b16 head.. just did the head gasket.. now i have no vtec.. and no power AT ALL! i know it could be a few things, what are those few things so i can start checking.. thanks in advance, nate.

 

1. Are you throwing any codes ? (Check Engine Light) If so, what codes ?
2. Check your oil pressure

 

oil preassure/level, check ur grounds.....

 

my oil pressure gauge is reading fine.. my check engine light is on.. havent looked to see if its throwing any codes.. i'll go check in a few mins..

 

if the light is on there are codes....and they will most likely lead to your answer.

 

Or you miss set the timing by a tooth double check that

 

If theres a check engine light vtec will never ingage, but check ur codes gl man.

 

i was throwing codes 5, and 6.. map sensor, and ect sensor.. fixed the map.. still doing the same shit..
