Default Oil Pressure Question

MY oil light just came on in my honda, and im curious to know why. I do know that the oil plug is stripped and can be hand turned... Which i plan on fixing, but would this cause the light to come on?? or would the oil pressure switch be bad?? any info helps.

The factory honda oil pressure sensor for a bseries/dseries/hseries comes on when oil pressure is below 5 psi (nothing). If your light is on, get an oil pressure gauge on the car asap.

I just got done with my therapist about that day & you brought it back up

Note to customers:
NEVER use a brass fitting in your block, NEVER mount an oil sending unit directly to your block!

Hooked up a oil pressure gauge to the motor, no pressure at all... And i had already drained the oil filled it back up, still no pressure, dont worry, i havn't drove it at all with no pressure... any ideas on what i should check.. do ya think the oil pump screen is clogged up??

Your oil pump is probably done. Time to take apart everything.
I wouldn't doubt if your bearings are damaged also etc.

Cheaper route might be to look for another used sohc (if you had a sohc originally).
