edelbrock victor x intake mani question

Default edelbrock victor x intake mani question

well im currently running a Stock internal B16A2 with JDM B16A cams stage 2 clutch fidanza lighten flywheel 7.5 lbs intake dc 4-1 header and exhuast im getting a hella of deal on a edelbrock victor x and i was wondering if i would notice any difference in power gain when i install this intake manifold also has anyone ran this intak mani before how is it in comparisson to the Skunk2 pro series???? ALSO WILL MT STOCK THROTTLE BODY FIT IT CORRECTLY???

in the future i plan on swapping my bottom end for B18B1 block JDM p30 pistons etc etc

i had one on my b-16 with a stock throttle body. and walked a gsr twice. this manifold will work best on built n\a 1.8's or 2.0 motors. not saying itwon't work but you would not get the full potential of it from a small b-16. this manifold makes its power from 7k up so if you have not built your head\motor to surpass a 8k redline it will not be you best buy. b-16 power starts to fall off at 7400 or 7500 rpms. honestly when i put this on my b-16 i felt my low end was compromised. and the reason i put on the stock throttle body is because the place i ordered it from sent me one for a gsr. if you plan on putting a 1.8 block in later if the deal is good enough you can get it but studies show that the performer x is a little bit better than the victor. also what shell will this be going in? cause in some shells some modding might have to occur. good luck.

It has been proven that stock b16a intake manifolds work best on mild 1.6L motors. A victor X has no business being on an NA b16a.
