what IM fit on a y7 head
Greetings motorheads. I'm running around with a d16y7 with your typical bolt-ons, cai, 61mm tb, full MSD ignition, headers, cat back, fuel pressure reg. Now, I'm looking for my next mod. I'm thinking a new IM would be good. From what I hear, y8's fit perfect. However, I've been told a z6 would be better. My question is this, my stock IM is top mount, anyone know if there will be fitment problems also, is my cai gonna fit?
They both fit. Your CAI will not & your ecu will need to be changed to a chipped obd1 non-vtec ecu because you are using a 2 wire iacv with a y8 or z6 intake manifold.

When you do switch the IM, i'll take your y7 CAI.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.
