Help with b16 ef
I just put a b16a1 in my 91 dx civic and every thing is hooked up into the ecu the injectors, knock sensor, vtec, and distributer. but it will not pass 3000 rpms. does any one know what this could be?
is ur speed sensor working and does the ecu have a 2 step set? if the speedo reads 0 and u have a 2 step then thats where the rev limit will b. other than that ihave no idea y u cant go past 3k....

The guy that I bought my car from had this same problem when putting my car together I'll give him a call in a bit. IIRC it was ignition wiring running to the gauge cluster.
EDIT: I just talked to him and it was the coil. He was having the same exact problem as you are.

Sure you already checked this, but my Crx did this. After replacing the plug wires & dizzy we found one of the old ones was missing the metal piece on the end.
