I have got an JDM B16A with the two O2 sensors on the Manifold. I have been told it is a common problem with swaps of this type. During the process of driving at a constant speed the car hesitates but it is not stuttering. Now it clears up when the gas pedle is depresed but then comes right back. And now it is starting to do it on acceleration too. I need help on this. And I need to know what to buy or do to correct this because it is very annoying. Thanks.

Hey
Sorry I dont really have a solution to your problem but I thought id let you know your not the only one. I have a B16a1 im not sure if I have two O2 sensors also but it does the same thing when I hit a certain throttle percentage. When I put my foot on the gas about 2/3 of the way down my car starts to hesitate a little. So I pretty much have to either floor it or go a constant speed. I cant gradually accelerate. I think its probably a dirty fuel filter or dirty/clogged fuel injectors but i havnt gotten a chance to check/change them.

Hope someone has some sort of insight to this.

Mike.

before you go spend the money on a new sensor bust out the ol multimeter and check the i/o and signal voltages. Not sure what they are off the top of my head but Im sure if you private message John or look on the hybrid board youll come across them.

VDorm - I had this problem in my 88 DX B16a. I changed O2 sensors (both) injectors fuel filters ECUs throttle bodies every sensor I could find and no luck. The only things I never did was change the injector resistor box and try adjusting the TPS. I know of other B16a CRXs that have had the same problem and no one can figure it out. I cant tell you how many bracket races I lost due to that problem.

Try swapping the o2 sensors with each other. (i.e) change their places. Ive seen this correct the very same problem give it a try.
