Cruise Control Removal

Exclamation Cruise Control Removal

Hey i was wondering, now i know i should go out and buy a manual blah blah blah ive heard it but all who drop money in there car and have to live on there own know the simple little things are hard to pay for,

now me and the wife want to remove our cruise control on our 99 civic si's and i was wondering if anyone could give step by step DIY directions on how to remove that ugly thing from under our hood. pics would be nice to but only if you have the time. thanks

and if your going to post get a manual dont waste your time, because weve heard it many times. yep

i want to remove it to kinda gut the engine bay, and i dont use it at all... i would give it out to people but we are keeping every part sense so we have all the orig. parts for the car, plus if we ever want to put it in we could have it right there ready to go....

but yea, anyone know how to do it?

3-4 10mm bolts holding the actual black box and then unplug the plug. then reach under your dash to where your gas pedal is and remove the cable then twist it from the engine bay to pull it out completely LOL thats the basics of it

ahh thanks, finally, i just didnt know where the cable went to, and now we have to find a plug to get the vacuum lines going right because with the hose disconnected from the intake manifold it messes up the rev, so were working on that next. but thanks for pointing out where the line goes up to... any CEL going to come on because of doing this?

any idea of how to plug the whole on the back of the intake manifold other then crushing it together with some needle nose's because im not down for that, but any ideas? or anything?
