AUTO 2 MANUAL
If you dont have the skills to do it then get a shop to do it. That does make sense and I applaud that decision. However the reason that I refrain from doing such conversions is that it is SO time consuming and people do not want to pay for time only parts. Hence if I had told you 1700 + parts you would have walked would you not? I would have straight to Circle K picked up an Autotrader and started calling. The reason is that it is usually cheaper to sell an auto car which commands a higher resale value and purchase a manual car which commands a lower resale value than to pay for the swap to be done. PLUS you have the factory fit finish and you know (basically) that Honda put it together right not a shop which doesnt have its heart into it because the job sucks thus you may get subpar work.

Anyways what question was it that I didnt answer?
John I live in bradenton and work in St. Pete 9 to 6 mon thru sat so getting to n. Tampa is hard but maybe I can get there on Fri. Bill I need to know a parts listor if Im going to have to the metal around the gear selector.
Hmm never even touched an Accord in my life so I dont know what the undercarriage looks like let alone the engine.
However it should basically be the same as any other tranny swap (speaking in general terms). Get the correct clutch box (if youre using a cable tranny get a cable tranny box etc.) flywheel clutch (autos usually use a smaller clutch/pp plate) shifting hardware etc...
As for the hole where the automatic shifter sits ya youll have a nice sized one. You can always just modify the existing consule and get a custom shift boot to help cover it up. Also youll probably have no existing bolting holes so you can pretty much position it anywhere.
Youll also have to disconnect all Auto wires to the ECU or the car will think its still an auto. Look for the SI switch and make sure you jump it so that youre car will start in gear. Also not sure how your reverse switch works but pretty sure that you can just splice the existing wires into the new trannys reverse switch.
Bleh its a pretty involved process but not too difficult if you purchase a shop manual for your car (get a helms not some Haynes rag) and compare n contrast the two setups. The main problem youll run into is mounting locations. Like I said before Ive never tooled around on an Accord but if youve got a question I might be able to give you a general idea. Sure John or Kenji (look up his name through search and get his email address) could help you out more than I could though. Good luck on the install and try not to give up too much blood to the car.
