Any see the new issue of Turbo(Jan 01-Page56)?

Performance Developments replacement motherboard for the ECUs on Honda/Acura/Mitsu/Subura/and Skyline?

Looks like you just change swap the board plug in a laptop and tune using all factory sensors etc.

Additional features are available 3-bar MAP wide band O2 etc.

Should allow you to properly tune your forced induction applications.

Any thoughts?

I read that too. If it really does what it says it does and is user friendly I think it will work well. Plug and play stand-alone ecu. Kind of a nice idea anyway.

So far it looks like zdyne may have the best bang for the buck. Dont know too much about the hondata. A member of clubsi.com is beta testing the new OBD-II version now.

I like the zdynes on the fly capability but I REALLY like Hondatas datalogging capabilities.

Ya but Hondata requires that you burn a new chip for each update. At least with the Zdyne you can program it by laptop in the car. Still though I wouldnt complain if one somehow ended up in my baby.

Burning and replacing a new chip takes about a total of 3 minutes tops. Just an FYI.

They both have great features and so far for this type of system the price seems to be pretty affordable.

A while ago someone made a great point about the Zdynes on the fly capabilities either way a dynamometer is always a must because you rely on real numbers instead on relying on just computer formula ! ! Again I could be wrong I rather just wait and see what the outcome is on both of these units or just be brave and be the Guinea Pig ! !
