Well I got my VAFC the other day (it looks sweet) and I was looking at the wiring diagram Its pretty straight forward but I have a question. They want you to cut the RPM Signal wire and the Throttle Signal wire and route it to their appropriate wires to the VAFC. The question is Do you connect the portion of the wire that is coming from the
ECU side or the other side coming from the Firewall. In other words when you cut the wire your gonna have two possible places to hook it back up. Any Ideas? The instructions arent really clear on that part. Hope this makes sense =P

I installed a S-AFC once. If I remember correctly...It doesnt matter which side. Only one of the wires (on a S-AFC) is actually Routed through the box...all others just Tap into the harness for readings.

But dont listen to me...I am not a Professional.

I see what your saying but the readings must be coming from either the ECU side going out through the wire or from the other half of the wire coming into the ECU. I just dont want to do more wiring than I have to if I wire it wrong the first time. Hope that makes sense =P

You really lost me. Find your ECU...See the plugs going into it? pull them out. Match the plugs with the diagram in the book. Then take some masking tape and use it to mark the wire (and write which wire it is on the tape). Once you have marked all of the wires DOUBLE CHECK...

Then cut back the harness cover a couple of inches...give yourself some room. Cut the wires about 3-4 inches from the plug. Take the wire from the V-AFC and run it into a crimp connector along with the 2 harness wires (2 because you just cut them). CRIMP. Dont use those silly ass self crimping things..as you will have problems...

These steps apply to all but those that actually routed through the V-AFC. When you cut this wire...attach the wire coming from under the dash to one V-AFC wire (in) attach the other wire from the ECU to the other V-AFC wire (out). For these you should be crimping only 2 wires instead of 3.

Be careful on color coded wires...and MAKE SURE THAT THE PLUG DIAGRAM THAT YOU ARE USING MATCHES THE PLUGS INTO YOUR ECU!

Hope that helps?
